Here are Jack Green's four NBA picks to consider for Wednesday's game between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

Philadelphia 76ers (-7)

In this meeting of the Eastern Conference’s best teams, it’s worth backing the 76ers to make the most of their home court advantage in a comfortable victory.

Philadelphia has won five of its last seven games – all by a margin of at least nine points – and is 20-5 at home this season.

The Nets are major title contenders this season and will be a force in the playoffs, but they’re currently without the injured James Harden, while Kevin Durant will be on a minutes restriction in this game after only recently returning from a hamstring strain.

Under 226.5 points

These are two of the NBA’s highest-scoring teams, but the Nets’ injury problems mean its worth betting on the under here.

Brooklyn’s offense has lost some firepower in the absence of Harden, and just one of their last six games has gone over 227 points.

The Sixers are one of the NBA’s best defensive teams and have held their last four opponents under 102 points.

Joel Embiid over 29.5 points

Embiid is averaging 29.6 points per game this season and is coming off a 36-point outing against the Dallas Mavericks.

The 76ers’ MVP contender looks set for another big night against a Brooklyn team that has a clear weakness defending opposition big men.

Ben Simmons under 13.5 points

Simmons is averaging almost 15 points per game this season, but he’s taken on much more of a facilitator role for the Sixers recently.

The 24-year-old has scored 14 points or more in just one of his last eight games, averaging 10 points per game during that period.
