Denver Nuggets (-10) vs Detroit Pistons

The Nuggets have had a fantastic second half to the season and are finishing really strongly, with 12 wins in their last 16 games to move to 46-24.

Denver could still catch the Los Angeles Clippers for the third seed in the Western Conference and they should win big against the Pistons, who have the worst team in the East (20-50) and have lost 10 of their last 12 contests.

Detroit lost 119-100 to the 22-48 Minnesota Timberwolves last time out and has now suffered three consecutive defeats, all by a margin of at least 12 points.

Dallas Mavericks (-12) vs Toronto Raptors

Dallas has won 11 of its last 14 games to climb to fifth in the West, but it still has work to do to guarantee a spot in the playoffs with the 7-seed Lakers just a win behind.

Fortunately for the Mavericks, they now face a Toronto team that has lost eight out of nine games and is now 27-43 for the season.

Of the Raptors’ last eight defeats, five have come by double digits, while the Mavericks’ last three wins have all been blowouts of at least 18 points.

Memphis Grizzlies (-6) vs Sacramento Kings

The Grizzlies have locked up a place in the Western Conference play-in tournament and could move up to the 8-seed with a win over Sacramento on Friday night.

The Kings still have a chance of earning a place in the tournament and have won six of their last eight games, but it’s worth noting that three of those wins came over the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are on an eight-game losing streak.

The Kings lost a crucial game against the San Antonio Spurs last week and were beaten 116-110 by Memphis on Thursday, so it’s worth backing the Grizzlies to extend their winning streak to five games.

Golden State Warriors (-2.5) vs New Orleans Pelicans

Like Memphis, the Warriors are fighting for the 8-seed in the West and a run of six wins in seven games has them on the brink of the single-elimination play-in game.

Having beaten the two top seeds in the conference in back-to-back games, the Warriors are clearly the hottest team in the West at present and now face a New Orleans team that has hit a slump at the worst possible time.

The Pelicans have lost four of their last six games, with their last defeat coming by an 18-point margin against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
