Brooklyn Nets (-3.5) vs Indiana Pacers

The Nets have been the Eastern Conference’s best team since the middle of February, winning 13 of their last 14 games including each of their last five.

All of Brooklyn’s 13 wins during that period came by a margin of at least four points, and, remarkably, they’re doing all this with former MVP Kevin Durant sidelined with a hamstring injury.

The Pacers are 17-21 and have lost seven of their last nine games, so they should pose little threat to a Nets team that is looking increasingly tough to beat.

Philadelphia 76ers (+5.5) vs Milwaukee Bucks

The 76ers are missing star center Joel Embiid through a knee injury, but the Eastern Conference leaders should still make this a close game on Wednesday night.

Philadelphia’s 18-3 home record is the best in the NBA and Doc Rivers’ team have won their last six games, including the last two without Embiid.

The Bucks are also one of the East’s best teams but they’ve only won by more than six points in two of their last seven games, and this is a tough match-up against a gritty Philly team regardless of Embiid’s absence.

Charlotte Hornets (+6.5) vs Denver Nuggets

The Hornets have won all three of their games since the All-Star break and have climbed to fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 20-18 record.

They should at least keep the score close against the Nuggets, who have a better record on the road (13-8) than at home (10-8).

Denver is in good form but has only won by at least seven points in three of its last six games, and role players Gary Harris and Monte Morris will both be absent for this one.

Los Angeles Clippers (-2.5) vs Dallas Mavericks

The Clippers won 109-99 when these teams met on Monday night and should again come away with the victory in this rematch.

LA is 13-9 on the road this season and 16-8 against Western Conference teams, while Dallas has gone 10-9 at home and 11-12 in conference games.

The Mavericks have been on a good run but still rank 19th in the NBA in net rating this season, while the Clippers rank fifth and could see Serge Ibaka return from a back injury that kept him out of Monday’s game.
