Here are Jack Green's four NBA picks to consider for Wednesday night's Game 1 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns.

Phoenix Suns (-6)

With Giannis Antetokounmpo set to miss the start of the NBA Finals with a knee injury, it’s hard to look past the Suns taking Game 1 in Phoenix on Wednesday night.

The Suns have won the first game in all three of their playoff series so far this year and are 6-2 at home in the postseason.

Historically, home teams have dominated Game 1 of the Finals, winning 75 per cent of the time. With two-time league MVP Antetokounmpo out for the Bucks, that trend looks very likely to continue here.

Over 219 total points

These teams ranked first and sixth in points per game during the regular season, so this looks like a series that is going to be all about offense.

Given that there were 218+ points scored in seven of Phoenix’s last 10 playoff games and each of Milwaukee’s last two, it’s worth taking the over in Game 1.

Khris Middleton over 27.5 points

Middleton stepped up to lead the Bucks past the Atlanta Hawks in Antetokounmpo’s absence, scoring 26 points in Game 5 before closing out the series with a 32-point night in Game 6.

After some shooting struggles earlier in the series, Middleton averaged 28 points per game in the last four against the Hawks and will be the Bucks’ top scoring option again on Wednesday.

Chris Paul under 20.5 points

Paul has had a fantastic postseason and scored 41 points in his last game against the Los Angeles Clippers, but this line looks too high given that he’s averaged 18.1 points per game in the playoffs so far.

CP3 faces a tough match-up in this series against the Bucks’ Jrue Holiday, who was named to the All-Defensive First Team at the end of the regular season.
