Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker

Saturday night’s main event at the O2 is not just a meeting of two of Anthony Joshua’s vanquished opponents – it’s a chance for these elite heavyweights move right to the front of the queue for a world title.

Whyte has come a long way since he was stopped by Joshua in 2015, winning his last seven fights, four inside the distance.

Parker, meanwhile, hasn’t boxed since he lost on points to Joshua four months ago.

The New Zealander struggled to cause the IBF, WBA and now-WBO champion any real problems in that bout, and has now disappointed in four successive fights with unimpressive wins over Andy Ruiz, Razvan Cojanu and Hughie Fury.

The 34-year-old still has plenty of power, but he’ll struggle to do much damage against the obdurate Takam.

The Cameroonian has a granite chin and gave Anthony Joshua a really tough time in a 10th-round loss last October.

Katie Taylor v Kimberly Connor

Taylor should breeze through her third world title defence.

The Olympic gold medallist has never been close to defeat in her nine professional bouts. She has won five by unanimous decision and four inside the distance, while Connor has lost two of her last six.

Taylor has been taken to the scorecards by each of her last three opponents, though, so another decision looks likely this weekend.

Given that Connor has only been stopped once in her career, a points win for Taylor is the best bet at .
