Saturday night’s IBF featherweight title fight in Leeds should be a cracker between two undefeated British rivals.

Josh Warrington won the title by outpointing Lee Selby in May 2018, before defending it against Carl Frampton in what was a candidate for fight of the year in December.

The 28-year-old was excellent in both of those fights, using his all-action style to outwork two opponents who were both fancied to beat him.

He doesn’t carry much power, but no one has been able to cope with the Leeds Warrior’s work rate yet, and he has a knack of drawing his opponents into the type of brawl that suits his style.

Kid Galahad won’t mind going toe-to-toe with the champion.

The 29-year-old is the bigger puncher of the pair, with 15 of his 26 professional wins to date coming inside the distance.

He stopped six opponents in a row between April 2016 and March 2018 and will be hoping to land a bomb during an exchange on Saturday night.

Warrington is tough, though. He took big shots against Frampton last time out and kept coming forward, so it’s hard to look past him here.

While Warrington has fought two of Britain’s best featherweights of the past decade or so, Galahad is yet to face a top opponent and that experience should prove crucial.
