The Mac is back this weekend, as Tyson Fury makes his return to the ring almost three years since he beat Wladimir Klitschko to become the heavyweight champion of the world.

It’s easy to forget about some fighters when they are away from the sport for a long time, but that’s clearly not the case with Fury, whose controversial opinions have kept him in the spotlight and made this comeback a huge event.

The 29-year-old has become an almost mythological figure among some boxing fans – the ‘true king’ of the heavyweight division who is going to see off the various champions that have emerged during his hiatus.

Whether that’s true or not, Fury is undoubtedly one of the most talented fighters in the division and should soon be taking on the best heavyweights in the world again.

The first step is beating Sefer Seferi – a 39-year-old Albanian with 23 wins and just one defeat in his career to date.

Seferi’s record would suggest that he’s a decent opponent for Fury’s comeback fight, but, in truth, he’s been picked for this bout simply to make the Englishman look good.

‘The Real Deal’ lost to the only decent opponent on his record, WBA (regular) heavyweight champion Manuel Charr, in what was his only fight in this weight class, and his 6ft 2in frame means he’s going to be at a major height disadvantage on Saturday night.

Seferi’s not even the top cruiserweight in Albania, with his 41-year-old brother Nuri currently two spots higher in the BoxRec rankings.

Fury has nothing to fear from the 39-year-old, and the ‘Gypsy King’ is going to step into the ring and look to make a statement with a very quick stoppage.

He has knocked out 18 of his 25 opponents to date, and, although he hasn’t stopped anyone inside two rounds since beating Hans-Joerg Blasko in the first in 2010, it’s hard to see this fight going beyond six minutes.

Kell Brook and Amir Khan have both won comeback fights against poor opponents inside two rounds this year, and the same result is likely for Fury on Saturday.
