At least one England centurion –

Two England players hit centuries at Trent Bridge against New Zealand in 2015 before Alex Hales’ record-breaking 171 on the same ground against Pakistan two years ago.

There were also scores of 93 and 95* in the only other ODI to be completed between those two, so at least one of the hosts’ many capable batsman reaching three figures seems likely.

Alex Hales to score over 28.5 runs –

Hales has a fantastic record on his home ground, scoring 42, 67 and 171 in four ODI innings.

After a quiet run of form, this match represents the perfect opportunity to score big again.

Adil Rashid to take over 1.5 wickets –

Rashid has taken at least two wickets in all three ODIs so far this summer, and in nine of his last 13 matches overall.

Australia are evidently struggling to deal with his mystery leg-spin, as proven by the fact that he’s passed this mark in six of his seven matches against them in 2018.

Jhye Richardson to take over 1.5 wickets –

Richardson took two wickets in Cardiff after replacing the injured Billy Stanlake, so should keep his place for this match.

The 21-year-old bowls in the last 10 overs, where the opportunity for taking wickets is at a peak, so this is a safe bet.
