Team batting first to score 300+ -

The team batting first has scored over 300 in three of the last four ODIs involving England at Sophia Gardens, while Eoin Morgan’s side have also passed that benchmark in seven of their last eight home ODIs outside of tournaments.

Six of Australia’s batsmen got out between 15 and 45 at The Oval on Wednesday, so at least one ought to kick on second time around.

Glenn Maxwell to score over 25.5 runs –

Maxwell scores his runs in clumps, and is a good bet for another decent score after hitting 62 in the first match on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old is the batsman England will fear most, and is the man most likely to make an impression on this series in the absence of David Warner and Steve Smith.

Billy Stanlake to take over 1.5 wickets -

Stanlake showed his exciting potential with two wickets and some speedy bowling at The Oval.

He can now be considered Australia’s key strike bowler in this series, and it would be a surprise if he didn’t cause England more problems on Saturday.

England to win –

Eoin Morgan’s side very rarely slip up on home soil, having now won 18 of their last 21 home ODIs.

With the series still on the line and Australia severely weakened by the absence of at least five key players, this looks a generous price for another.
