Team that wins the toss to win the match

Joe Root won eight consecutive tosses against India and Sri Lanka between August and November, a massive factor in his side going on to win seven of those matches.

But his luck ended in Barbados last week, with Jason Holder calling correctly and then leading his side to a thumping victory in the first Test of this series.

On a ground that largely favours spin, batting first could prove the crucial difference between these sides in Antigua this week.

Rory Burns to score over 46.5 match runs

I unsuccessfully tipped Burns for first-innings runs in the first Test last week, but he did prove that he has what it takes at this level by hitting 84 in the second innings.

Play it a little safer here by backing him for runs across both innings, with 46.5 a mark that he has comfortably passed in two of his last three Tests.

Shai Hope to score over 50.5 match runs

Hope always finds his best form against England, racking up 60 runs in the first Test to pass this mark for his third consecutive Test against Joe Root’s side.

The 25-year-old also scored 67 runs in his last match at this ground despite batting just once, so he is a good bet to pass this mark.

Jos Buttler to score over 46.5 match runs

Buttler showed some glimpses of good form in the second innings in Barbados, hitting 26 from 32 balls before being dismissed by a brilliant catch.

That Test was the first in seven that he has failed to pass this mark, but he should be in decent enough nick to put it right here.
