MI vs RCB betting tips and odds

Royal Challengers Bangalore to win

Mumbai enter the 2021 tournament as favourites to defend their title, but it’s worth backing Bangalore to cause an upset in the opening game.

The Indians have lost their last eight IPL openers in a row, last winning their first match back in 2012.

That awful record is more than enough to side with the Royal Challengers at odds-against.

Ishan Kishan to score over 22.5 runs

Kishan made his India debut in their T20 series win over England in March, scoring 56 on debut before falling for just four in his second outing.

The talented youngster lit up the IPL last year, racking up 516 runs to finish as the fifth-highest run-scorer.

He passed this mark in both matches against Bangalore last year, including a brilliant 99 off 58 deliveries.

Virat Kohli to score over 32.5 runs

Kohli rediscovered some of his form in the limited-overs series against England recently, scoring 73* and 77* in the T20s and 80*, 56 and 66 in the ODIs.

That form is more than good enough to back RCB’s skipper to pass this runs mark on Friday.

Jasprit Bumrah to be Mumbai Indians top bowler

Bumrah did not feature in any of the white-ball matches against England so should be well rested for the start of the tournament.

He finished as the second-top wicket-taker in the 2020 IPL with 27, and will always be in with a shout in this market.
