Here are Guy Giles' cricket betting tips for the third T20I, which starts at 01:00am on Tuesday.

New Zealand fight back

Following a poor performance in the opening match of the series, New Zealand bounced back with a comfortable win in Wellington on Sunday.

The Black Caps posted a score of 176 after being put in to bat by England, with Jimmy Neesham returning to the side with an explosive 42 off 22.

A solid bowling performance, highlighted by three wickets for Mitchell Santner, then wrapped up a 21-run win to level the series at 1-1.

That display puts the hosts as favourites to win the third T20 in Nelson on Tuesday.

New Zealand to win

Guptill returns to form

When Martin Guptill plays well, New Zealand usually win.

And, with captain Kane Williamson currently injured, Guptill is even more important to this side than normal.

The 33-year-old scored 41 off 28 in Wellington to get their innings off to a solid start, and looks a good bet for a repeat performance on Tuesday.

He has scored 25 or more in three of his last four T20 appearances against England.

Spin is still king

Both these sides have a wealth of pace bowling options, with Lockie Ferguson, Tim Southee and Chris Jordan all starring in the series so far.

Yet Sunday’s match illustrated the continued importance of spinners to T20 success, even in seam-friendly conditions.

England’s only spinner, Adil Rashid, had a poor game in Wellington, managing just the one wicket and going for 10 runs per over.

New Zealand, meanwhile, had Santner and Ish Sodhi to thank for their win, with their spin twins taking five wickets between them to seal the victory.

Morgan the man

Questions over Morgan’s future as England captain are growing quieter by the day.

The 33-year-old has started the series in impressive fashion, following a knock of 34 in Christchurch with 32 off 17 in Wellington.

Morgan is among the best players in the world in this format, and looks to be locked in at the moment.

England need him to perform again on Tuesday if they are to avoid falling behind in the five-match series.

Banton set for bow

England have already handed full debuts to Saqib Mahmood and Pat Brown in New Zealand, and it now looks to be Tom Banton’s turn.

The exciting Somerset batsman is likely to be introduced in Nelson as England begin preparations for the T20 World Cup next year.

Banton’s form in the T20 Blast – scoring 549 runs at an average of 42.23, including a 51-ball hundred – secured him a place on this tour.

Now he has the chance to bring that to the international stage, and earn a place in the squad for Australia in the process.
