First innings score: Under 299.5 –

No team has scored more than 300 in the five ODIs on this ground since the 2015 World Cup, meaning history would have to be rewritten for this one not to come in.

Given that England’s powerful batting line-up has lost its way in the recent T20 tri-series, and that New Zealand did not pass the 300 mark in any of the last four ODIs against Pakistan earlier this year, the chances of a big score are weakened further.

Eoin Morgan over 26.5 runs –

Morgan should have happy memories of playing New Zealand, having kicked off England’s one-day revolution with scores of 50, 88, 71, and 113 in the 2015 series.

The captain found some form in his side’s last T20 of the tri-series on Sunday, and is a good bet to make a solid score.

Kane Williamson over 32.5 runs –

Williamson is an incredibly consistent one-day scorer.

The New Zealand captain has passed 33 in each of his last six ODI innings against England, plus four of his last seven overall, so is a good bet to reach the mark at this price.

Adil Rashid to take exactly 2 wickets –

Rashid took 10 wickets in the five-match ODI series in Australia earlier in the year, including exactly two in three of the matches.

He will be just as crucial if England are to enjoy the same success in New Zealand.
