Here are four T20 World Cup betting tips for England vs Afghanistan in Perth on Saturday.

England vs Afghanistan betting tips & odds

Alex Hales to score under 24.5 runs

Hales looks likely to open the batting for England alongside Jos Buttler, but his form since landing in Australia is slightly concerning.

He scored four and zero against Australia before being dismissed for just nine in their final warm-up against Pakistan.

Dawid Malan to score over 23.5 runs

Should Hales fall early, then that will set the stage for Malan, who provides England with solidity from No. 3.

He is in great form coming into the World Cup, with his last six innings reading 36, 26, 78*, 2* 82 and 23.

Najibullah Zadran to score under 17.5 runs

Zadran will bat at No. 5 during for Afghanistan during the World Cup, but has struggled for form in the build-up to the tournament.

His T20 scores since the start of September are 17, 10, 0, 0, 2, 6, 5 and 6, so backing the under looks a good bet here.

Mark Wood to be England top bowler

Wood has returned to fitness just in time for England, and will provide their bowling attack with some serious pace in seamer-friendly conditions in Australia.

Wood took nine wickets across four games in the build-up, and is worth backing to lead England’s bowlers in their opening match.
