Australia to win

Australia were cruising to victory in the first T20 on Friday before a late collapse handed England the win.

Mistakes were inevitable considering the Aussies were playing their first match in more than six months, but don’t expect it to happen again.

Aaron Finch’s side are ranked no. 1 in the world for a reason and a response is likely to come on Sunday.

Dawid Malan to score over 21.5 runs

Malan’s incredible record in this format continued on Friday as he top scored for England with a crucial 66.

He now has seven 50s and one century in just 14 innings in this format for England, and is slowly becoming undroppable for Eoin Morgan’ side.

Glenn Maxwell to score over 18.5 runs

Maxwell played a poor innings in the first T20, scoring just a single before slapping to short cover off the final ball of Adil Rashid’s spell.

‘The Big Show’ is unlikely to fail again on Sunday, though, having passed this mark in seven of his last 10 innings in T20Is.

Top batsman in the match to score over 65.5 runs

A batsman has passed this mark in all four of England’s T20 matches so far this summer, including their washed-out opener against Pakistan.

It was Malan who did so on Friday, but both sides have plenty of batsmen capable of going big in this second T20.
