Pooran made a fantastic start to life at the Big Bash on Boxing Day, whacking 65 against the Sixers.

The West Indies international has a claim to being the best batsman in the competition, and can continue to impress here.

Glenn Maxwell to score over 25.5 runs

Maxwell is another who looks set to be in the running for the competition’s top run-scorer, passing this mark in all three of his innings so far.

His excellent partnership with Pooran should have seen the Stars to victory last time out and we can expect more of the same in this one.

Adam Milne to be Sydney Thunders’ top wicket-taker

The Stars’ top order has not flourished yet, so a flurry of wickets at the start of their innings is more likely than in the middle.

New-ball bowler Milne, who took two wickets in his last match, is bound to be involved if that is the case.
