India v Pakistan betting tips & odds

India to win

India are the favourites to win the tournament and come into their opener on the back of two wins from two in their warm-up matches.

Comfortable seven and eight-wicket victories over England and Australia respectively prove that they are in great form as they seek a first world T20 title since 2007.

Pakistan could be dark horses in the competition, with their world-class bowling attack certain to trouble anyone, but India should be too good here.

Rohit Sharma to be India’s top batsman

Sharma returned to the side for India against Australia and top scored with 60 from 41 balls before retiring.

He is one of the best T20 players in the world and is always worth backing in this market, particularly after showing that kind of form on Wednesday.

Babar Azam to be Pakistan’s top batsman

Babar is another player in form coming into the T20 World Cup, with the Pakistan star having passed 50 in three of his last five innings.

One of those half-centuries came against West Indies in a warm-up match.

Shaheen Afridi to be Pakistan’s top bowler

Shaheen has developed into one of the world’s best limited-overs bowlers and will be a key part of the Pakistan attack.

He took four wickets across Pakistan’s two warm-up matches and has 16 in his last eight T20 appearances.
