Here are Guy Giles' cricket tips for the third Test match at Old Trafford, starting on Friday. 

England to win

England levelled the series with a well-rounded performance in the second Test, following up a big first-innings score by taking 20 wickets on a pitch that remained relatively flat throughout.

It was a worrying few days for the Windies, with cracks beginning to show in a batting lineup that remains without a century in the series.

With James Anderson and Jofra Archer likely to return, it is hard to see the momentum of the series shifting away from England as they go again at Old Trafford after a short four-day break.

Dominic Sibley to score over 26.5 runs in the first innings

Ben Stokes got all the plaudits following his performance with both bat and ball in the second Test, but it was Sibley who laid the foundation for an England win with his stoic 120 off 372 deliveries.

The 24-year-old now averages 44.33 after eight Tests, and has passed this mark in eight of his last ten innings for England.

Shamarh Brooks to score over 21.5 runs in the first innings

Brooks is one of the few Windies batsmen that have found some consistency across the first two Tests, with 169 runs from four innings making him their top run-scorer so far.

This mark looks low for a batsman of his quality, considering that he has scored at least 22 in five of his last six Test match innings. 

England top first-innings wicket-taker: James Anderson

Anderson was a surprise omission for the second Test but will surely be reinstated for the decider as England look to regain the Wisden Trophy.

He has taken 16 wickets in his last three Tests at his home ground and will be well-rested after missing out last week.

West Indies’ first-innings wicket-taker: Jason Holder

Holder managed just one wicket in the second Test but will have a significant role to play in the decider with Shannon Gabriel struggling for fitness and Kemar Roach looking overworked.

He demonstrated his threat in English conditions with seven wickets in the first Test, including a six-wicket haul in the first innings.
