Here are four cricket betting tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for the second Test between India and England in Chennai, starting on Saturday.

Shubman Gill to score over 32.5 runs in the first innings

Gill has made an impressive start to his Test career, scoring his third half-century in four matches during the first match of this series.

He has passed this mark in five of eight Test innings to date, with two of the exceptions being scores of 29 and 31.

Joe Root to be England’s top batsman in the first innings

Root looks to be in the best form of his career, with his last three first-innings scores reading 228, 186 and 218.

The England captain even outscored all his teammates with 40 in the second innings of the first Test, so he looks a solid bet in this market once again.

Ravi Ashwin to be India’s top bowler in the first innings

Ashwin was close to his best in the first Test, taking nine wickets in the match including a six-wicket haul in the second innings.

A spinner has won or shared this market in each of the last three Tests at Chennai – including the first of this series – and Ashwin is India’s best by some distance.

Jack Leach to be England’s top bowler in the first innings

Similar logic to the Ashwin bet here, as Leach proved himself to be England’s most dangerous spinner with six wickets in the first Test.

Leach usually comes to the fore in the second innings, but with uncertainty over the makeup of England’s bowling attack for this match it’s worth backing him to continue his form.
