England to win

England find themselves 2-0 down and facing the embarrassment of a home Ashes series being over within three games, but they haven’t been far away in two tight Tests to date.

With the series on the line, and extra motivation after the controversy at Lord’s, backing them to win at Headingley – where they have won their last four Tests – looks a good bet.

Zak Crawley to score over 22.5 runs in the first innings

Crawley’s best work in the series so far has come in the first innings, following up his opening 61 at Edgbaston with 48 at Lord’s.

This looks like an achievable runs line for the opener, who has looked in decent nick.

Steve Smith to be Australia’s top batter in the first innings

Smith notched a century in the first innings at Lord’s – his 32nd overall in Test cricket – to move ahead of Steve Waugh into fourth all-time for runs in the Ashes.

He was then well set on 34 in the second innings before holing out as Australia looked to accelerate, and looked ominously untroubled at the crease throughout the match.

Ollie Robinson to be England’s top bowler in the first innings

Robinson is quietly putting together a solid series, taking 10 wickets in two Tests, with only Stuart Broad taking more so far.

He took seven wickets in his only previous Test at Headingley.
