Here are Tom Clee's darts betting tips for the third night in Dublin.

GERWYN PRICE v JAMES WADE

Wade to win and Price to hit the highest checkout

Wade's consistency so far this tournament – averaging over 100 and hitting more than half his doubles – means he’s worth backing in the opener.

Particularly after he beat Price at the Masters earlier this month and in both of their meetings in 2018 before that.

You never quite know where you stand on 180s with this pair, so I'll focus on checkouts instead.

Price nailed a 107 and 120 last week, but may not even need to tip three figures to outshine Wade, who has only managed one finish higher than 60 in his first two matches.

STEVE LENNON v PETER WRIGHT

Wright to win, hit over 2.5 180s and checkout over 105.5

Wright has drawn both of his matches so far, but ought to get his first win on the board against this week's contender.

Lennon has lost 21 of his 22 matches against this year's Premier League field so, even with home advantage, will struggle to make much of an impression.

That includes three defeats out of three against Snakebite, who has also hit three 180s in each of the first two weeks.

He only has a highest checkout of 100 to his name but, provided he can bump that up a bit, this bet ought to sail in.

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN v ROB CROSS

Van Gerwen to win, Cross to hit the highest checkout, over 6.5 match 180s

MVG has won 11 of his 14 meetings with Cross, including two thumping 7-2 victories in this competition last season.

His finishing this time around has been a bit off, however, with no three-figure checkouts and a highest finish of just 66 last week.

Cross took out four of 72 or more that same night, including a 115 to swing the momentum in his match against Wade.

This pair have produced seven 180s between them in each of the first two weeks, so shouldn't have any trouble hitting that mark again.

MICHAEL SMITH v DARYL GURNEY

Over 10.5 legs, over 6.5 match 180s, highest match checkout over 118.5

Smith has only lost one of his last six meetings with Gurney, but I'm still going to sit on the fence with my tip here.

The Northern Irishman came storming back to form last week, averaging over 100 and hitting seven out of nine darts at double.

Both Smith's games so far have gone the distance, as did nine of Gurney's 16 last year, which was more than any other player.

These are two of the biggest power scorers in the competition, and they also boast three of the four highest checkouts so far after Gurney took out a pair of 121s last week following Smith's 150 on the opening night.

MENSUR SULJOVIC v RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD

Van Barneveld to win or draw, under 5.5 match 180s, highest match checkout under 118.5

Suljovic is an odds-on favourite for this final match between the bottom two, but I fancy Van Barneveld to stay in the hunt with at least a point.

He showed plenty of fight to come from 6-2 down against Price last week, and is certainly capable of winning ugly against the Austrian.

Barney has a 4-0 record against Suljovic at ranked majors, and also beat him in the Premier League and Masters last season.

These two only combined for three 180s last week, while they have a highest checkout of just 104 between them so far.
