Here are Tom Clee's darts betting tips for the second night in Glasgow.

PETER WRIGHT v MICHAEL SMITH

Smith to win and hit the highest checkout

Wright has beaten Smith on each of the last two weekends, but was thrashed 7-1 in both of their Premier League meetings last season.

Smith has come a long way since then, reaching three major finals, whereas Snakebite still seems to be plagued by the same inconsistencies.

Bully Boy did well to dig in against MVG last week despite lacking his usual scoring power, firing off a 150 checkout to stay in the match.

Considering Wright scored the most maximums in their Masters quarter-final earlier this month, the highest checkout could be better option if you're looking for a match double.

ROB CROSS v JAMES WADE

Wade to win and over 10.5 legs in the match

Cross averaged 103.57 his draw with Wright last week but, with only two 180s and a highest out of 62, couldn't find the clutch moments that would have turned a 3-1 lead into two points.

Wade, on the other hand, produced far more flourishes than normal, hitting four maximums and winning the game with a 124 finish on the bull.

The Machine has a good record against the former world champion, winning four of their five matches since the start of last year.

Currently playing his best darts in all that time, he looks a generous price to nick another close match.

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD v GERWYN PRICE

Price to win and Van Barneveld highest checkout

Price impressed against Daryl Gurney last week, whereas Van Barneveld spurned a few chances in what looked a winnable match.

Barney has also won just one of his last six Premier League matches when throwing first, with the potential for his head to drop after an early break a good enough reason to swerve him.

The Dutchman is still worth backing to hit the highest checkout, though, having hit 100+ checkouts in his last eight matches in this competition.

Price, on the other hand, has failed to finish on three figures in seven of his 10 matches to date.

DARYL GURNEY v GLENN DURRANT

Match to have over 11.5 legs and over 7.5 180s

There has been at least one draw on each of the last five nights of regular Premier League fixtures, with nine of the 23 matches during that time finishing as stalemates.

So, considering there's nothing to choose between these two in the betting - and that Gurney was involved in more draws than any other player last season - it makes sense to hedge our bets here by backing this to go the distance.

Should it do so, then we ought to see a few 180s. Gurney hit more than any other player last season and, though he didn't manage one last week, nine 140s would suggest his radar wasn't too far off.

Durrant is a gritty player who will be difficult to shake off, while he reeled off 13 maximums in his last BDO World Championship final before making the switch to the PDC last month.

MENSUR SULJOVIC v MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Van Gerwen to win and hit over 4.5 180s

Van Gerwen claimed the Players Championship One on Saturday to continue his ominous start to the year.

He's beaten Suljovic in seven of their last eight meetings, including a 7-4 victory in this competition last season that saw him hit 10 maximums.

Having thrown five more last week against Smith, this feels like the safest route to take rather than rely on any checkouts.

The Dutchman's finishing has been a bit hit and miss of late, managing a highest out of just 86 last week and being upstaged by a 161 from Suljovic at the Masters earlier this month.
