Here are Tom Clee's tips to help get you started...

MICHAEL SMITH v PETER WRIGHT

Smith to win, hit the most 180s and average under 100 –

Wright was tonked 7-1 by Mensur Suljovic last week, losing seven legs on the spin.

And his form at the weekend – being thrashed 6-0 by Gary Anderson in the final of the Players Championship Three, before crashing out in the first round of the Players Championship 4 – suggests that was not a one-off.

Smith pushed Cross all the way in Leeds and is excellent value to get the two points against an opponent he beat in a UK Open qualifier last month.

He’s yet to average three figures in the tournament but has outscored Wright in 180s in all but one of the weeks so far.

SIMON WHITLOCK v DARYL GURNEY

Gurney to win and hit most 180s –

Gurney’s wait for a first Premier League win continued last week after he spurned a 6-4 lead over Gary Anderson.

That was the third time this season that he has come within one leg of victory only to draw the game, though he should finally get over the line against Whitlock.

Gurney has won his last six in a row against the Wizard, losing only two of their 13 meetings to date.

The Northern Irishman is also second in the maximum stakes, whereas Whitlock has struggled with scoring since week one.

MENSUR SULJOVIC v ROB CROSS

Cross to win and hit the most 180s with Suljovic to throw the highest average –

Cross recorded his third successive victory last week to end Smith’s perfect start to the season and move into the top four.

Even against a resurgent Suljovic, that run ought to continue, given he has won on four of the five occasions they’ve played.

Nobody has thrown more 180s than Cross during his recent renaissance, so he should easily get the better of the Austrian, who has thrown the fewest, on that front.

The world champion is yet to average three figures, though, while Suljovic has comfortably broken that barrier in four of the five weeks so far.

GERWYN PRICE v MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Van Gerwen to win by over 2.5 legs, hit the most 180s and Price to average under 95 –

MVG moved ominously to the top of the table last time out with his fourth win in five, all of which have been by at least three legs.

He’s likely to have an equally comfortable night against Price, who he has beaten in all 12 of their previous matches

The Welshman remains rooted to the bottom of the league, having failed to better his tournament-high average of 92.51 on the opening night.

Having also thrown half as many 180s as the Dutchman, he looks certain to get blown away in all departments.

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD v GARY ANDERSON

Van Barneveld to win or draw, Anderson to hit the most 180s and both players to check out over 100 –

Anderson won both Players Championship events over the weekend, but, having only drawn with Gurney following his UK Open win last time out, that’s not necessarily an indicator of how he’ll perform on Thursday.

The Flying Scotsman has been erratic so far, throwing the most 180s but registering the second-lowest checkout percentage.

So Barney, who has lost just one of his last nine Premier League matches when throwing first and boasts the better head-to-head record in this tournament, should be backed to secure at least a point.

Expect plenty of fireworks on the finishing front, though, with the Dutchman throwing two ton-plus checkouts in Leeds last week and Anderson regularly finding the bullseye over the weekend.
