Here are Tom Clee's tips to help get you started...

MENSUR SULJOVIC v GARY ANDERSON

Anderson to win, hit a 100+ checkout and at least twice as many 180s as Suljovic –

Anderson produced his best performance of the season last week to move to within a point of the play-offs.

He’s hit at least one 100+ checkout in six of his seven matches so far, and is also joint top of the 180 table with 28.

That’s almost three times as many as the 10 managed by Suljovic – the lowest tally in the tournament.

The Austrian has lost five of seven matches in his debut campaign and won’t have enough to stop the Flying Scotsman.

MICHAEL SMITH v GERWYN PRICE

Smith to win, no 100+ checkout in the match and both players to average under 100 –

Smith responded to his first defeat of the season at the start of the month by thrashing Peter Wright 7-1 in his next outing.

Having lost to MVG last time out, the 27-year-old should bounce back in similar fashion against the only player who is yet to win a match.

But it’s likely to be scrappy.

The pair have the two lowest averages in the tournament, having both failed to once reach three figures, and have hit just two ton-plus finishes in their last eight matches combined.

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD v MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Van Gerwen to win, hit a 110+ checkout and average over 100 –

MVG won his seventh singles title of the season at the European Darts Open last weekend.

He’s also won 10 of his last 12 against Van Barneveld and five in a row in the Premier League.

The world No.1 is yet to average under 100 all tournament, and has also hit the most three-figures finishes with 10.

Given eight of those have been clocked at 110 or more, it makes sense to bump up the figure required.

DARYL GURNEY v ROB CROSS

Cross to win and hit a 100+ checkout with over 7.5 match 180s –

It’s a shame for Gurney that, having got his first win on the board last week, he must face the world champion next.

Cross has won both the previous meetings between this pair, including a comfortable 11-3 victory in the European Championship semi-finals towards the end of last year.

He’s also been on fire in the Premier League, winning five in a row and hitting five 100+ checkouts during the last four weeks alone.

But the Northern Irishman should be able to keep up in the 180s stakes at least, with both these players averaging four per week during the last five rounds of fixtures.

SIMON WHITLOCK v PETER WRIGHT

Whitlock to win or draw, hit the most 180s and Wright to average under 100 –

Wright rediscovered some form over the weekend with a run to final of the European Darts Open, though he did throw away a 5-1 lead and missed a dart for the match.

Whitlock was looking good before running into MVG, and should be backed not to lose on Thursday against a player who has won the joint-fewest legs against the throw all tournament.

Snakebite is without a win in five, losing the last three 7-1, and has averaged under 92 the last three weeks running.

Whitock has also hit more maximums than Wright in four of the last five rounds of matches.
