Premier League Darts is an annual PDC tournament that was founded in 2005. It is not one of the seven ranked majors, but is one of six non-ranking television tournaments.

What is the format of Premier League Darts?

 

Since 2022, the Premier League Darts format has changed so that an eight-person knockout bracket is contested every night.

Each of the players will meet each other once in weeks 1-7 and again in weeks 9-15, with weeks 8 and 16 drawn based on league standings.

Players receive two points per semi-final appearance, three points per runner-up finish and five points per final win.

After week 16, the top four in the league tale contest the semi-finals and the final, with first playing fourth and second playing third.

Can I watch Premier League Darts on television?

All Premier League matches are televised live on Sky Sports.

How much is the Premier League Darts prize money?

The total prize pool for 2020 is £1,000,000, with £10,000 being awarded to the player that wins each Thursday night.

The ultimate winner will receive £275,000, with the runner-up receiving 125,000 and the semi-finalists receiving £85,000.

The rest will be split incrementally all the way down to the player eliminated in eighth, who take home £60,000.

Who won Premier League Darts in 2022?

The defending champion is Michael van Gerwen, who has six titles (2022, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2013).

He joined Phil Taylor as the tournament's most successful player with six titles (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012).

Gary Anderson has won it twice (2011, 2015) while James Wade (2009), Raymond van Barneveld (2013), Glen Durrant (2020) and Jonny Clayton (2021) have all won one each.
