Here are Tom Clee's darts betting tips for the first of two nights in Rotterdam.

GERWYN PRICE v MICHAEL SMITH

Smith to win or draw, Smith highest checkout under 90.5, over 6.5 total 180s

This is the night's closest game to call, so I'll throw in a double chance to insure against the risk of a draw.

Smith has struggled this season but did win this fixture 7-2 last year. He can close the gap against Price, who has won just one of his last six Premier League matches.

Bully Boy has only checked out over 100 in two of the seven weeks so far, with the mid-80s more his comfort zone.

Only Price has hit more 180s than him this tournament, with both players averaging three or more per night.

JAMES WADE v DIMITRI VAN DEN BERGH

Van Den Bergh to win, hit over 2.5 180s and checkout over 99.5

Wade has gone off the boil in the last couple of weeks, taking just one point from two matches.

He was fortunate to even rescue a draw against Wright, who missed six darts at double after leading 5-2.

Van Den Bergh won the only recent meeting between these two last month and beat Adrian Lewis over the weekend, so there's a good chance of a first contender win of the season.

The Dreammaker is a classy player, so a few 180s and a three-figure checkout should come naturally if things go his way.

ROB CROSS v MENSUR SULJOVIC

Cross to win, hit over 2.5 180s and checkout over 116.5

Cross moved two points clear at top of table last week with his fourth straight win and has an average of 102.92.

He followed that by reaching the final of the European Darts Open at the weekend, before losing 8-6 to Michael Van Gerwen.

Voltage hit a maximum every 2.65 legs in Leverkusen and reeled off seven ton-plus finishes in five matches, only one of which was below 123.

Suljovic is playing well and has a decent recent record against Cross, but it's hard to see him stopping the former world champion's momentum.

PETER WRIGHT v MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Van Gerwen to win & over 10.5 legs, over 6.5 total 180s, Wright highest checkout under 94.5

Van Gerwen was imperious at the weekend, nailing his third nine-darter of the season on his way to winning the European Darts Open.

He's only won one of his last four Premier League meetings with Wright, though, so if you're backing him to win then it's safe to assume it will be close.

Last week saw the most 180s thrown on a single night this season, 10 of which were scored by this pair.

Wright is yet to take out anything higher than 91 since the opening night, which makes this a good addition.

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD v DARYL GURNEY

Van Barneveld to win, Gurney most 180s, highest match checkout under 119.5

Van Barneveld earned his first win of the season last week, and he is a great price to get another against an opponent he still has a chance of catching him in the table.

The Dutchman is unbeaten in his last four Premier League matches in Rotterdam, having beaten MVG last season and thrashed Gary Anderson the season before that.

Gurney seems to have ironed out the issues with his first dart, having hit four maximums in each of his last two matches.

He's not managed a 100+ finish in four weeks, however, while Barney's 170 last time out was his first three-figure checkout since the opening night.
