Here are Tom Clee's darts betting tips for the night 16 in Leeds.

GERWYN PRICE v PETER WRIGHT

Over 13.5 legs, under 6.5 total 180s, highest match checkout over 122.5

Wright's run to the final of the European Darts Grand Prix at the weekend – plus his record of 12 wins out of 16 against Price – means this game isn't as simple as the table would suggest.

Both of their previous Premier League meetings have gone the distance, and that feels like the safer bet for two players that have been involved in 11 of 19 draws so far this season.

These two hit four 180s each last week, but that was the first time in eight matches that they had combined for more than six in one night.

Between them, they've topped this checkout mark seven times in their last eight matches, with a 116 and a 118 to boot.

DARYL GURNEY v MICHAEL SMITH

Gurney to win, Smith most 180s, Gurney highest checkout

This game means far more to Gurney than Smith, who dropped out of contention long ago thanks to a run of seven games without a win.

The Northern Irishman has only lost two of his last 10, and is in good enough form to get the two points that should push him into the top four.

Smith has thrown the most 180s in the league, with 21 in the last five weeks alone.

He's also got the worst checkout percentage, so Gurney – who's been hoovering up finishes in the 90s and low 100s recently – is the pragmatic pick.

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN v MENSUR SULJOVIC

Van Gerwen (-2.5), Van Gerwen under 2.5 180s, Van Gerwen over 1.5 100+ checkouts

Van Gerwen was untouchable last week, demolishing Wright with a 110.85 average and only allowing him a single dart at double.

He's beaten Suljovic in nine of their last 10 meetings, with his previous eight victories in this competition all coming by three legs or more.

Incredibly, MVG has hit the fewest 180s of anybody left in the competition, managing more than a couple in just three of his 13 matches.

His finishing has been far better, with seven 100+ finishes in the last three weeks.

JAMES WADE v ROB CROSS

Cross to win, Cross most 180s, Wade to checkout over 114.5

Cross is one game away from becoming the first player to stop Van Gerwen topping the Premier League table at the end of the regular season.

He's won nine of his last 12 games, and beat Wade 7-4 all the way back in week two.

Voltage has hit 12 maximums in his last two games, whereas Wade has only managed more than three once in his last 12.

The Machine has been producing some spectacular checkouts, though, with two 121s, a 122, 137, 144 and 161 in his six games since Judgement Night.
