Leading online bookmaker Betway has today announced its sponsorship of annual esports tournament CS_Summit 6, which will be contested online between 22 June and 5 July 2020.

The four-phase competition, which is being hosted by production company Beyond the Summit, has been chosen as this summer’s Regional Major Ranking Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event in Europe and North America.

The world’s best teams will be competing for a share of a $200,000 prize pool, as well as to qualify for ESL’s $2 million Rio Major in November 2020.

This is the second time Betway has partnered with Beyond the Summit in CS:GO, having sponsored CS_Summit 5 in 2019.

Beyond the Summit’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Michelle Cheng, said: "Betway has been a huge supporter of the Counter-Strike esports scene for many years now. They are true fans of the game, and we're honoured to partner with such an industry-leading bookmaker on our first official Valve event for CS:GO."

Betway’s Head of Esports, Adam Savinson, said: "We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Beyond the Summit for their first Official Valve event in CS:GO.  Since our successful sponsorship of CS_Summit 5 last year, we have been keen to find another opportunity to work together.  We are delighted that we can yet again sponsor one of the year's most exciting events, with the added prestige of being this summer's RMR for Europe and North America."
