CHAMPIONSHIP

Top pick: Fulham

Fulham smashed six past Burton last weekend – scoring inside 20 minutes – and are capable of another demolition job against Barnsley this weekend.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have scored six more goals than the next highest-scoring Championship side in their last six games, including seven in their last three away from home.

Honourable mention: Brentford

Brentford have scored 16 times in their last eight home matches, including a goal inside the first 25 minutes in two of their last three.

With just four matches to choose from in the Championship this weekend, picking one of these two gives you a better chance of winning than ever.

LEAGUE ONE

Top pick: Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe took just three minutes to go in front against Doncaster in midweek, meaning they’ve now scored more goals inside the first 10 minutes of matches than any other side.

They're a good shout away to a Southend side that have lost seven of their last eight, and fallen behind inside 20 minutes on four separate occasions.

Honourable mentions: Plymouth, Gillingham

Plymouth scored quickest the last time these teams all played each other on 23 December.

They’ve been 4 To Score winners again since, while Oldham also conceded the division’s earliest goal just two weeks ago, so don’t rule out lightning striking twice.

Gillingham, meanwhile, are flying at the moment, and were 2-0 up after 15 minutes in the reverse fixture against Fleetwood before Christmas.

LEAGUE TWO

Top pick: Swindon

Swindon have scored seven goals inside the 15 minutes of games this season – the joint-second most of any team in League Two – and they’re a must-pick this weekend when they host Crewe.

David Artell’s side have been the 4 To Score losers on six occasions to date, the most of any side in England.

Honourable mention: Carlisle

Like Swindon, Carlisle have scored seven goals inside 15 minutes this season, five of which have come on their own turf.

They’re a solid choice against Forest Green, who have let in 10 goals in the first quarter of an hour – the most in the division – and have lost four on the bounce away from home.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Top pick: Maidenhead

Chester are the joint-slowest starts in the National League, having shipped seven times in the opening 10 minutes of games.

That total includes fourth and sixth-minute goals in their last seven matches - a total which could get worse when they face Maidenhead, who have hit six in their last two.

Honourable mentions: Chester, AFC Fylde

I’m confident the first goal of the day will come from this game, given that Maidenhead are the other equal-slowest starters.

Elsewhere, Fylde look a possibility, given that they’ve bagged nine in two. They take on Woking, who have conceded 48 this season and have the third-worst defence in the league.
