PREMIER LEAGUE

Top pick: Crystal Palace

Seven of the last eight Premier League 4 To Score winners have been away sides, with all but one of those goals being scored by bottom-half teams.

Palace scored after 19 minutes on their way to recording a fine 3-0 win at Leicester last weekend, and could quickly sweep manager-less Swansea aside on Saturday.

Honourable mention: Huddersfield

The above criteria also applies to Huddersfield, who were 4 To Score winners for a second time this season after taking the lead just six minutes in against Watford last weekend.

Hosts Southampton conceded after only 11 minutes in their last home match, a 4-1 defeat to Leicester.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Top pick: Sunderland

Birmingham City are officially the Championship’s slowest starters having shipped more goals in the first 10 minutes of matches than any other side.

So they look a decent shout to concede first away to a Sunderland side that will be liberated by a first win at the Stadium of Light in almost a year last weekend.

Honourable mentions: Cardiff, Preston

Bolton are developing a bit of a habit of falling behind early, doing so inside 25 minutes in each of their last four matches.

They conceded the division’s second-fastest goal last weekend at home to struggling Burton, so are clearly capable of going one better against high-flying Cardiff.

Forest have let in more goals on the road than any other team in the Championship, including the quickest in the division twice in the last five weeks.

So keep an eye out for Preston, who have won their last two at home during a six-match unbeaten run.

LEAGUE ONE

Top pick: Rotherham

The side to ship the first goal in League One has come from the bottom half of the table in eight of the last nine weeks.

MK Dons, who are 17th, have regularly been guilty of starting slowly, conceding eight goals in the opening 15 minutes of matches – the most in the division.

So Rotherham, who have scored in each of their last 10 home games, look a solid shout.

Honourable mentions: Wigan, Walsall

Wigan are the best team in the league, having won five out of six and scored six in the opening quarter of an hour.

Away to Oxford, who have leaked 11 in the first 30 minutes, it would be no surprise to see the Latics register early.

Walsall bagged first last weekend and take on out-of-form Rochdale next, who have won just one in six.

With each of the last nine 4 To Score winners coming from 11th or below, the mid-table Saddlers could easily win you the jackpot.

LEAGUE TWO

Top pick: Barnet

Barnet have scored inside the first half hour in each of their last two matches, including the quickest goal in League Two just a fortnight ago.

Their visitors Cheltenham have conceded inside the first eight minutes of their last two away games, including the earliest goal last week.

Honourable mentions: Luton, Carlisle

As ever, Luton – League Two’s highest scorers by a huge distance – are worth considering.

And Carlisle, who have been the winners twice this season, travel to Forest Green, who have conceded more home goals than any other side.
