I’m going to kick things off by backing Liverpool to do the business in Saturday’s early kick-off away at Brighton.

Early games can throw up some strange results, but I think the Reds will bounce back well from a surprise defeat by Atalanta in the Champions League.

They’ve won all six meetings between these sides since the Seagulls were promoted, with over 2.5 goals landing in four of those matches.

I’m unsure about a winner in Everton v Leeds, so instead I’m going to back over 2.5 goals in this one.

This bet has landed in all six of Everton’s home matches in all competitions this season, and in three of Leeds’ four on the road.

I’m heading down to the Championship to round off my qualifying bet, and taking a leaf out of our Saturday Betting Guide.

Watford have the second-best home record in the division, and I expect them to continue that form against Preston, who lost 3-0 to Blackburn at home last time out.

Sunday’s action in the Premier League kicks off with an exciting encounter between Southampton and Manchester United, and I fancy the Saints to avoid defeat in the opening leg of my first free bet.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are unbeaten since 20 September, with that seven-match run including a win over Everton and draws against Chelsea and Wolves.

United are in good form themselves, but have won just four of their eight league matches so far this season.

The match of the weekend follows as league leaders Tottenham visit third-placed Chelsea, with both of these teams in flying form.

Tottenham have been priced up at a tempting to win, and for that reason I’m going to back them for at least a point.

So far this season Spurs have beaten Manchester United on the road and Manchester City at home, with their counter-attacking style suiting these big games.

I’m finishing off my weekend in Germany, where Bayer Leverkusen should ease past Hertha Berlin.

Leverkusen have won five on the bounce in all competitions, while Hertha have lost six of their nine matches overall this term.
