Will Rook and Adam Drury provide their football tips for the Boxing Day matches.

WIN/DRAW/WIN

Blackburn to beat Hull (15:00)

Blackburn went third in the Championship last weekend with a 4-0 victory over Birmingham, leaving them one point off the automatic spots.

Tony Mowbray’s side have won eight of their last 10 matches, including five straight victories without conceding.

Sixth-bottom Hull are without a win in three and blew a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Nottingham Forest last Saturday.

Mansfield to beat Hartlepool (15:00)

Mansfield are the form team in League Two, having won six of their last seven matches – a run that has helped them climb from the bottom three to 11th.

The Stags’ form looks even better in all competitions, where they have won nine of their last 10.

Hartlepool have the worst away record in the division, having lost eight games out of 10.

Brighton to draw with Brentford (20:00)

No side in the Premier League have drawn more league games than Brighton (8).

The Seagulls have finished level in nine of their last 12 matches in all competitions.

Brentford have shared the points in four of their eight away games in the Premier League, including in two of their last three against Leeds and Newcastle.

DOUBLE CHANCE

Chelsea not to beat Aston Villa (17:30)

Chelsea have only won two of their last six league games, marginal victories over Watford and Leeds.

The Blues have lost at West Ham and drawn at Wolves on that run, with their squad stretched due to injury and illness.

Aston Villa have started well under Steven Gerrard, winning four of their six games and pushing Man City and Liverpool hard in the other two.

BTTS

Carlisle v Rochdale (13:00)

Carlisle's last two home games have finished 1-1 and 2-1.

This tip is mainly about Rochdale, though, who have scored and conceded in five of their last six.

The exception was their last match, a 3-0 win against Newport.

Man City v Leicester (15:00)

BTTS has landed in five of the last six meetings between these two at the Etihad Stadium.

City have only kept clean sheets in three of their last seven home matches.

Leicester have scored 16 goals in their last six games, suggesting that they are in the form to net at least once in response to Man City inevitably scoring.

ANYTIME GOALSCORER

Son Heung-min (Tottenham) to score v Crystal Palace (15:00)

Son has scored in his last three Spurs appearances, all of which have come at home.

The forward has 11 goals for club and country this season, and has taken 2.4 shots per game in the league.

Only six teams have conceded more away goals than Crystal Palace this season, including three at Chelsea and Liverpool, and two at Arsenal.
