Brentford to beat Middlesbrough

Brentford followed their 7-2 hammering on Wycombe last weekend with a 3-2 victory at home to Bristol City – their sixth win in seven league games.

That result helped lift Thomas Frank’s side into second, while their unbeaten run now stands at 19 matches.

Middlesbrough have lost four of their last six matches in all competitions, including their last three at the Riverside and an FA Cup tie against Brentford last month.

Accrington to beat Northampton

Northampton have lost six and drawn two of their last nine league games and are currently fourth-bottom in League One.

The Cobblers’ only away victories in their last 11 came against bottom two Wigan and Burton.

Accrington pumped fifth-bottom Bristol Rovers 6-1 in midweek and have taken seven points from their last three matches.

Oxford to beat Doncaster

This is an understandably a long price but, given Oxford’s nine-match winning streak in all competitions, it’s worth including.

Karl Robinson’s side have broken the club-record longest run of victories and are undefeated in 13 matches.

Doncaster come into this on the back of four straight wins in the league, but a 1-0 defeat at home to Shrewsbury in December shows they aren’t infallible.

Newport to beat Grimsby

Second-bottom Grimsby lost 2-1 at home to fellow strugglers Stevenage last weekend to extend their winless run to eight matches.

The Mariners’ run of just six points from their last 12 in the league, meanwhile, is the worst in the division.

Play-off chasing Newport’s own form isn’t great but, having lost just one in 10 at home, this represents a good opportunity to get their promotion tilt back on track.

Tranmere to beat Port Vale

Promotion-chasing Tranmere beat Peterborough 2-1 in the Papa John’s Trophy in midweek to notch their fifth straight victory in all competitions.

Four of those came in the league for Keith Hill’s side, who could go third if results go their way on Saturday.

Port Vale have won just two of their last 12 matches, with those victories coming against bottom-two sides Southend and Grimsby.
