Peterborough to beat Preston

Preston are bottom of the Championship with zero points from three matches.

Frankie McAvoy’s side lost 1-0 at Huddersfield in midweek and were pumped 4-1 by Hull on the opening day in their only game at Deepdale so far.

Peterborough blew a two-goal lead in stoppage time to draw with Cardiff in midweek, but represent great value here.

Stoke to beat Nottingham Forest

Stoke’s 3-1 win away to Swansea in midweek left them second in the Championship, having taken seven points from three matches.

Michael O’Neill’s side have won back-to-back home games in all competitions and look good value to make it three in a row against a side struggling for form.

Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 at home to Blackburn on Wednesday and are yet to earn a point in the league this season.

Burton to beat Cambridge

Burton are one of two sides in League One with a 100 per cent record.

The Brewers come into this on the back of a 1-0 victory at home to Sunderland in midweek, which followed a 2-1 victory over Ipswich last weekend.

Cambridge are still adjusting to life in the third tier, having been promoted last term, and are without a win.

Portsmouth to beat Doncaster

Doncaster’s miserable start to the season continued in midweek as they were beaten 1-0 by Accrington.

Richie Wellens’ side lost all three league games so far, while they have also failed to score in their last three in all competitions.

Three wins out of three and three straight clean sheets, meanwhile, have Portsmouth leading League One.

Forest Green to beat Crawley

Forest Green are top of League Two as the only team with a 100 per cent record after three games.

Rob Edwards’ side beat Rochdale 2-1 on the road in midweek and back at home, where they have lost one in seven in all competitions, they can be confident of another three points.

Crawley lost away to Hartlepool on the opening day and managed just four victories on the road throughout the entire 2020/21 campaign.
