Blackpool to beat Plymouth

No side in League One has earned more points than Blackpool (25) over the last 12 matches.

The Tangerines’ 3-1 victory over Peterborough in midweek saw them climb into the play-off positions and, with at least two games in hand on their rivals, it’s easy to make a case for their promotion charge.

Plymouth beat struggling Bristol Rovers last weekend, but had lost five games on the spin prior to that victory.

Sunderland to beat Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers come into this on the back of three straight defeats, while they have lost six out of nine since Joey Barton took over as manager last month.

That run of results has seen the Gas drop into the bottom four of League One, where they are two points from safety.

Sunderland have won eight and drawn three of their last 11 matches in all competitions, including three victories from their last four away games in the league.

Peterborough to beat Accrington

Second-placed Peterborough are currently going through a sticky patch, with one victory in six, but their home form remains strong.

The Posh have won 10 of their last 12 matches in all competitions at London Road, with the only defeat in that sequence coming against league leaders Hull earlier this month.

Accrington have lost three of their last four, while their only victories in eight have come against bottom-four sides Swindon and Wigan.

Cheltenham to beat Morecambe

League Two leaders Cheltenham got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Salford last weekend.

Michael Duff’s side had previously lost 2-0 to relegation candidates Barrow, but a run of eight victories in 11 matches means they look decent value here.

Fellow promotion chasers Morecambe have also been in decent form, but a 3-1 defeat to Newport in their last home game showed that they have vulnerabilities.

Stevenage to beat Barrow

Barrow’s survival hopes were dealt a blow in midweek following their 1-0 defeat to bottom-of-the-league Grimsby, who were without a win in seven.

That result ended a run of four straight victories for Rob Kelly’s side, who are now six points above the drop zone.

Stevenage are unbeaten in nine and have won three home games on the bounce, including against promotion chasers Carlisle and Forest Green.
