West Ham to beat Norwich (12:30)

This pick is more to do with the poor form of bottom-of-the-league Norwich than the shape of West Ham.

The Canaries have lost six league games on the spin – a run that includes every game since the restart – and could be relegated with three matches to spare if results go against them this weekend.

West Ham were beaten 1-0 by Burnley on Wednesday, but had taken four points from matches against in-form Newcastle and Chelsea prior to that.

Wigan to beat Barnsley (15:00)

Wigan’s long price here is likely to do with the uncertainty that has come with them entering administration.

But the Latics bounced back from a 3-0 defeat to Brentford by beating QPR 1-0 on Wednesday – their seventh victory in nine league games.

Barnsley have won two in seven, while they followed their 4-0 spanking at Stoke with a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-league Luton.

Millwall to beat Hull (15:00)

No side in the Championship has earned fewer than Hull’s total of six points across the last 12 matches.

The Tigers were beaten 2-1 by Bristol City, who themselves were without a victory in nine games, on Wednesday, and have lost 13 of their last 17 matches in all competitions.

Millwall come into this on the back of a 2-0 defeat to strugglers Middlesbrough, but beat fourth-bottom Charlton 1-0 in their last away game. At this price, they’re worth trusting.

Manchester City to beat Brighton & BTTS (20:00)

Brighton’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday was their third in four matches at the Amex, and the fifth time in seven league games that both teams have scored.

BTTS has landed in the Seagulls’ home games against Arsenal and Chelsea as well as Liverpool this term, while they put three past Tottenham in October and opened the scoring against City on the final day of last season.

Manchester City thumped Newcastle 5-0 on Wednesday, but back-to-back away defeats in the league against Southampton and Chelsea suggests a vulnerability on the road at the moment.

Atletico Madrid to beat Real Betis & BTTS (21:00)

Atletico Madrid are currently on a 13-match unbeaten run in La Liga, while they have won five of their last seven matches.

Both teams have scored in eight of those games, including in their 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo on Tuesday.

Betis have managed two victories in their last eight, but have been involved in the highest proportion of BTTS games in the division.

Hull v Millwall (15:00)

Hull’s last four matches have finished 3-3, 2-1, 4-2 and 2-1.

The Tigers have conceded in 10 consecutive home matches, a run that includes a 4-4 draw and a 5-1 defeat.

Millwall have scored in 13 of their last 17 away games and in five of their last seven overall.

Sheffield United v Chelsea (17:30)

Sheffield United have rediscovered their best form in the last fortnight, scoring in four consecutive matches.

BTTS has landed in three of those, against Arsenal and Tottenham. They also drew 2-2 at Chelsea earlier in the season.

Chelsea have scored and conceded in six of their last seven away games, including two 2-2s and two 3-2s.

Lazio not to beat Sassuolo (16:15)

BTTS has landed in six of Lazio’s last eight matches, including in a 2-1 defeat at Lecce on Tuesday.

They take on Sassuolo, who have only produced fewer BTTS matches than Bologna in Serie A this season.

The visitors’ last six matches have seen goals at both ends, including two 3-3 draws.

Barcelona not to beat Real Valladolid (18:30)

Barcelona have only won four of their last 12 away games, one of which was a victory at Ibiza in the Copa Del Rey.

They scraped past Espanyol 1-0 at the Nou Camp on Thursday, and take on opposition in decent form.

Valladolid have only lost two of their last eight games, both one-goal defeats at Atletico Madrid and Valencia. They have drawn at Sevilla on that run and drew 1-1 with Real Madrid earlier in the season.

Anytime goalscorer

Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) to score v Lazio (16:15)

Berardi has scored 12 goals this season, including one in each of his last two games.

The forward ranks sixth for shots per game in Serie A and fronts a team that has scored 12 goals in four matches.

Lazio conceded three goals at home to AC Milan at the weekend before shipping two more at Lecce on Tuesday.
