Wolfsburg to beat Schalke (14:30)

Schalke have been consistently woeful for some time in the Bundesliga and are currently on a 13-game winless run.

David Wagner’s side have taken only two points from their seven games since the restart and scored three goals.

Wolfsburg have won three away games out of four, including a 4-1 thumping of top-four-chasing Leverkusen.

Arsenal to beat Brighton & under 3.5 goals (15:00)

This feels like a long price for the visiting team, given that we know that football behind closed doors tends to negate home advantage.

Brighton are winless in their last 10 games in all competitions and are the only team in the Premier League without a victory in 2020. They have also scored more than one goal in only one of those matches.

Arsenal had won five of their last six games in all competitions before football was suspended, and were far from disgraced in their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday, while 10 of their last 13 league games have seen fewer than four goals.

Wigan to beat Huddersfield (15:00)

Wigan ended March as one of the form sides in the Championship, with only Leeds and Fulham taking more points than them over the last 10 matches.

That run included three victories in the Latics’ last four matches and four straight clean sheets.

Huddersfield have won back-to-back games at the John Smith’s Stadium but, in a setting that will see home advantage diminish, the visitors are a price worth taking on.

Athletic Bilbao to beat Real Betis & BTTS (16:00)

Real Betis have managed just one victory in 14 away games this season and, while we know home advantage does not mean as much in the current setting, their record is bad enough to suggest the trend could continue.

They lost 2-0 away to Sevilla in La Liga’s first game back last Thursday, and have won only one of their last 10. Despite this, they do have the highest BTTS ratio in La Liga, with both teams scoring in 22 of their 29 matches.

Athletic Bilbao earned a 1-1 draw at home to Atletico Madrid on Sunday and have lost only one of their last five at San Mames – a run that includes a 1-0 victory over Barcelona in February – while BTTS has landed in each of their last four matches.

Hellas Verona to beat Cagliari (20:45)

Prior to the suspension of football, Hellas Verona had won three home games on the spin in Serie A including a 2-1 victory over Juventus.

Ivan Juric’s side have lost one of their previous 10 league games and won five out of seven at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Cagliari are winless in 12 in all competitions, having lost eight of those matches, so it is hard to be positive about their chances.

BTTS

Luton v Preston (15:00)

BTTS has landed in nine of Luton’s last 12 home matches, including 3-3, 3-2 and six 2-1 scorelines.

And with Nathan Jones back in the dugout, the Hatters’ goal threat is likely to be even more significant.

Preston had scored in five consecutive away games before defeats at West Brom and Fulham at the end of February, so should be good for a goal themselves.

QPR v Barnsley: BTTS & over 2.5 goals (15:00)

This bet landed in four of QPR’s five matches before the season stopped, including 4-2 and 2-2 scorelines.

Mark Warburton’s side have also produced 6-1 and 5-1 wins at Loftus Road in 2020.

Barnsley have scored in eight of their last 11 away games and won the reverse fixture 5-3 earlier in the season.

MYTHBUSTERS

Charlton to win or draw v Hull & under 3.5 goals (15:00)

Hull are in chaos after it was announced that several first-teamers would not be renewing their contracts until the end of the season.

Grant McCann’s side were in terrible nick before the season stopped, drawing two and losing 10 of their last 12 games.

Charlton’s position isn’t much better, but they have at least picked up three wins in their last eight. Seven of their last 10 games have featured under 3.5 goals.

ANYTIME GOALSCORERS

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) to score v Brighton (15:00)

Getting Aubameyang at odds-against when he’s playing a bottom-half team is too good to turn down.

The 31-year-old has scored 20 goals this season, including at least one in six of his seven away games against bottom-half teams. He is also a regular on penalties.

Brighton have only managed four clean sheets in 16 home matches this season, and still haven’t played Liverpool, Manchester City or Manchester United.

Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid) to score v Real Valladolid (21:00)

Felix had a slow start at Atletico Madrid, but has improved a lot either side of the season’s hiatus.

The 20-year-old has scored four goals in his last four La Liga matches, including a brace in Wednesday’s 5-0 dismantling of Osasuna.

He ranks top for shots per game in the Atletico squad, and takes on a defence that lost 5-1 at Barcelona earlier in the season.
