WIN/DRAW/WIN

Alaves to win or draw v Espanyol (13:00)

Bottom-of-the-league Espanyol have the worst home record in La Liga, having won one of their 13 games and earned eight points.

They had won just two of their last 17 matches before the season was suspended.

Alaves had lost two of their previous nine prior to the break, taking points off Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla as part of that run.

Bayern Munich to beat Borussia Monchengladbach & over 2.5 goals

Bayern Munich have won six games out of six in all competitions since the restart, meaning they have managed 20 victories in a 21-match unbeaten run.

They are the top scorers in the Bundesliga with 90 goals and have netted three or more on 18 occasions in domestic competitions this season.

There have been three or more goals in nine of Gladbach’s last 12 matches.

BTTS

Paderborn v Werder Bremen – BTTS: No (14:30)

BTTS has only landed in two of Paderborn’s eight matches against sides currently in the bottom six of the Bundesliga.

They won the reverse fixture 1-0 in December, but only after a stoppage-time goal, and they are the second-lowest scorers in the division.

Werder Bremen are the only side to have netted fewer goals the Paderborn (30) and this bet would have hit in each of their last five matches.

Mallorca v Barcelona – BTTS: No (21:00)

Mallorca have the third-lowest BTTS ratio of any side in La Liga, with both teams scoring in 11 of their 27 matches.

This bet would have landed in five of their last seven matches, with Mallorca having failed to score in four of those.

Both teams have scored in just three of Barcelona’s last eight league games.

ANYTIME GOALSCORERS

Sebastian Schonlau (Paderborn) to score v Werder Bremen (14:30)

It is always worth backing an opposition centre-back to score when Werder Bremen are in action.

No team has conceded more goals from set-pieces than Bremen (17) this season, while they also rank worst for the number of crosses that they allow into the box per game.

That leads us to punt on 1.88m-tall centre-back Schonlau, who has scored twice this season and ranks top of Paderborn’s available players for headed attempts on goal per game this season.

Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo) to score v Villarreal (16:00)

Despite a quiet 2020, Aspas did score in both of Celta Vigo’s last two home matches before the season was paused.

Only four players have posted a superior xG tally in La Liga this season – two of which are Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema – and he has netted nine goals overall.

Villarreal are without a La Liga clean sheet in nine away matches, and have only managed two in 14 overall on the road this term.
