WIN/DRAW/WIN

Freiburg to beat Hertha Berlin (14:30)

Freiburg extended their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-0 victory over Augsburg last weekend.

Christian Streich’s side have won three and drawn three of their opening six league games, including a 3-2 win over Dortmund in August.

Hertha were beaten 6-0 at Leipzig last Saturday and have lost four of their opening six matches, with their only two victories coming against bottom two sides Bochum and Greuther Furth.

Ipswich to beat Accrington (15:00)

Ipswich thrashed Doncaster 6-0 in midweek to make it three games without defeat.

Paul Cook’s side beat Lincoln 1-0 last time out away from home and with in-form striker Macauley Bonne, who has netted seven in eight, they carry a threat against any team.

Accrington lost 5-1 at Oxford in midweek and have taken one point from their last four, while their last home game ended in a 4-1 defeat against Wigan.

MK Dons to beat Doncaster (15:00)

Bottom-of-the-league Doncaster lost their seventh league game in nine on Tuesday as they were thumped 6-0 at Ipswich.

Richie Wellens’ side have scored just four goals in that run and conceded 17. Only two sides in League One have shipped more.

Third-placed MK Dons were denied a seventh victory in nine in midweek after conceding an 88th-minute equaliser in a 3-3 draw at home to Fleetwood.

Sunderland to beat Portsmouth (15:00)

Sunderland hammered Cheltenham 5-0 in midweek to extend their lead at the top of League One to three points.

The Black Cats have won seven and drawn one of their last eight games in all competitions, including away victories against Championship Blackpool and promotion contenders Wigan in the cup.

Portsmouth lost 2-1 away to Burton on Tuesday to extend their winless run to eight matches.

Atletico Madrid to beat Barcelona to nil (20:00)

Barcelona come into this on the back of a 3-0 defeat away to Benfica in the Champions League, in which they registered one shot on target.

That was the second successive away game in which the Blaugrana have failed to score after a goalless draw at Cadiz last Thursday, while they have won just one of their last five in all competitions.

Atletico Madrid came from behind to beat AC Milan 2-1 on Tuesday, while they are unbeaten in four at home having kept three clean sheets in that sequence.

BTTS

BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Leeds v Watford (15:00)

Leeds have scored 12 goals in their last six home matches, including one in their 2-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend.

They can score at least once against a Watford side that is without a clean sheet in the Premier League this season.

The Hornets, inspired by Ismaila Sarr, can take advantage of a Leeds defence ravaged by injuries, though. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have conceded more goals than every team bar Norwich so far.

Mansfield v Barrow (15:00)

Mansfield have the highest BTTS ratio in League Two, with seven of their nine matches featuring goals at both ends.

Both teams have scored in all five of their league matches at Field Mill.

Barrow have scored in all of their last four away games, with BTTS only landing more often for their hosts this term.

MYTHBUSTER

Manchester United not to beat Everton (12:30)

Having lost consecutive home games 1-0, Manchester United were very fortunate to break that losing sequence against Villarreal on Wednesday.

United conceded several clear chances in those matches at Old Trafford, while struggling to create many of their own.

Everton have only lost one of their six league matches this season and have been beaten in just one of their last five league games against United.

ANYTIME GOALSCORER

Chris Wood (Burnley) to score v Norwich

Norwich are awful defensively, conceding the most goals and xG in the Premier League so far this season.

Backing the opposition striker to score against them is an automatic bet, so Chris Wood is a big fancy.

He leads the way in terms of shots per game and xG in Burnley’s squad, and had a goal ruled out by a fractional offside decision at Leicester last week.

Troy Parrott (MK Dons) to score v Doncaster

Parrott has scored three goals this season, including MK Dons’ winner against Wycombe last Saturday.

His tally should increase quickly in the coming weeks, considering that he ranks sixth for xG per 90 minutes and top for shots per game in League One.

Doncaster have conceded at least twice in their last five away games and were battered 6-0 at Ipswich on Tuesday.
