Manchester City to beat Bournemouth & over 3.5 goals (15:00)

Manchester City scored 12 goals in their three home games against the promoted sides last season, including a 5-1 win over Watford and a 5-0 win over Norwich.

City averaged 3.1 goals per game in all competitions at the Etihad in 2021/22, and have since added striker Erling Haaland who bagged a brace at West Ham last week.

Bournemouth started with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa last week, so don’t discount them from getting one either.

BTTS in Wolves v Fulham (15:00)

Neither of these teams are likely to take a backward step this season, with both teams picking aggressive line-ups and putting in front-foot performances last week.

Wolves have moved to a 4-2-3-1 formation and were the better side in a 2-1 defeat at Leeds last week.

Fulham were arguably the team of the opening weekend, meanwhile, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring twice in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

BTTS in AC Milan v Udinese (17:30)

Udinese scored in 14 of their last 15 games of last season, with BTTS landing in 12 of them.

Saturday’s visitors finished the Serie A season as the eighth-highest scorers in the division, scoring away at Atalanta, Lazio, Milan and Napoli.

Milan scored 11 goals in their last five matches of last season to secure the Serie A title.

Brentford draw no bet v Man Utd (17:30)

Manchester United were outplayed by Brighton last week and there’s little reason to believe that they will suddenly improve this weekend.

United lost their last six games of last season, a dreadful record, and none of their failings seem to have been addressed yet by Erik Ten Hag.

Brentford recovered from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Leicester last week and will fancy their chances here having beaten Arsenal and drawn with Tottenham and Liverpool at home last term.

Paris Saint-Germain to win to nil v Montpellier (20:00)

Paris Saint-Germain have started the season with back-to-back wins to nil over Nantes and Clermont Foot, scoring nine goals in the process.

They conceded just 12 goals at home last season – the fewest in Ligue 1 – and dropped only six points as they remained unbeaten on their own patch.

Montpellier lost 4-0 and 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain last term, so a repeat feels like a good bet.
