WIN/DRAW/WIN

Atletico Madrid to beat Alaves (13:00)

This is an obvious bet but, at north of 1/2, it’s worth backing.

Atletico Madrid came from behind to beat Getafe 2-1 away last weekend, meaning they have won four and drawn two league games so far.

Alaves are bottom of the league with five defeats from five matches.

Stoke to beat Hull (15:00)

Stoke were held to a 1-1 draw by Barnsley in their previous home game earlier this month but still remain unbeaten.

The Potters had won all five of their previous home games in all competitions and should add another three points here.

Hull have lost five of their last seven and are winless since a 4-1 victory over Preston on the opening day.

AFC Wimbledon to beat Shrewsbury (15:00)

It’s been a miserable start to the season for Shrewsbury, who have won just one of their 11 games in all competitions.

The second-bottom Shrews have lost four out of seven at home and are only a point off the bottom of the table.

Wimbledon have won four of their seven away games in all competitions this season, with their only defeats coming against Arsenal in the EFL Cup and second-placed Sunderland last month.

Leyton Orient to beat Mansfield (15:00)

Leyton Orient climbed to second in the League Two table following a 3-1 victory away to strugglers Bristol Rovers last weekend.

Kenny Jackett’s side have taken 10 points from their last four matches – a run that includes back-to-back victories at home.

Mansfield have lost four of their last five matches and are winless since game two this season.

Nice to beat Saint Etienne (16:00)

Second-bottom Saint Etienne are one of three sides in Ligue 1 yet to record a victory after seven games.

Claude Puel’s side have lost four straight matches and a bet on them making that five looks good value.

Nice were beaten 1-0 at Lorient in midweek, but that was their first defeat of the season having won both of their previous away games against Nantes and Lille.

BTTS

Leeds v West Ham (15:00)

This is a short price but, given BTTS has landed in all but one of both Leeds and West Ham’s league games, it looks a solid bet.

The Hammers have netted 11 times in five games, including two four-goal hauls, while they rank fifth for shots per game.

Leeds have taken an average of 14 shots per game and have only failed to score against Liverpool.

Oxford v Gillingham (15:00)

No team in League One has been involved in more BTTS games (seven) than Gillingham.

The Gills come into this on the back of a midweek 1-1 draw with Charlton, while both teams have found the net in each of their last six league games.

BTTS has landed in three of Oxford’s last five in all competitions.

BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Borussia Monchengladbach v Dortmund (17:30)

This bet has landed in each of Dortmund’s last seven matches in all competitions.

Marco Rose’s side have scored and conceded a combined total of 28 goals in five Bundesliga games – a league high.

Both teams have scored in both of Gladbach’s home games, while there have been three or more goals in three of their last four in the league.

MYTHBUSTER

Northampton to win or draw v Salford & under 3.5 goals (15:00)

Seventeenth-placed Salford come into this on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Tranmere, which was their fourth of the season.

Gary Bowyer’s side have managed just two victories in eight, while Northampton have only lost twice in the same period.

Only one of the 16 league games these sides have featured in all season has produced more than three goals.

ANYTIME GOALSCORER

John Swift (Reading) to score v Middlesbrough (12:30)

Swift is the top scorer in the Championship with seven goals, which equates to 47 per cent of Reading’s total in the league this season.

Five of Swift’s goals have come at the Madejski Stadium and he is also his side’s set piece taker, which means he should get plenty of chances.

Middlesbrough have kept just two clean sheets – against strugglers Blackpool and Derby – in nine games in all competitions this season.
