WIN/DRAW/WIN

Nottingham Forest to beat Huddersfield (14:15)

Huddersfield fell to within one point of the relegation zone following their 2-0 defeat at home to Wigan last Saturday.

Danny Cowley’s side have lost four of their last six matches, while their only victory in nine away from the John Smith’s Stadium came at Hull, who are in freefall.

Nottingham Forest were denied a winning restart after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser away to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, but have only lost one in six.

Basel to beat Sion & over 2.5 goals (15:00)

Basel should canter to victory against a side that are in dreadful nick on and off the field.

The hosts have won 11 of their last 15 home games, with nine of those wins featuring over 2.5 goals. They beat Sion in the corresponding fixture in December.

The visitors lost lots of players and changed their manager over a tumultuous lockdown period, and have taken one point from their last eight away games.

Napoli to beat SPAL to nil (18:30)

Second-bottom SPAL were beaten 1-0 by Cagliari in their first game since the restart on Tuesday.

The strugglers have lost nine of their last 11 games in all competitions, while they are the lowest scorers in Serie A with 20 goals.

Napoli followed their goalless draw with Juventus in the Coppa Italia final with a 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona on Tuesday. Gennaro Gattuso’s side are unbeaten in eight in all competitions and have kept clean sheets in half of those matches.

Atalanta to beat Udinese & over 2.5 goals (18:30)

Atalanta went six points clear of fifth place in Serie A following their 3-2 victory over title-challengers Lazio on Wednesday.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have won eight matches in a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions, with over 2.5 goals landing in all of them.

They are the top scorers in the division with 77 goals, while Udinese are winless in nine.

MYTHBUSTERS

Sheffield United to win or draw v Arsenal & under 3.5 goals (13:00)

Neither of these teams have been up to much since football resumed, so it is worth backing this to be a low-scorer at least.

Sheffield United look the likelier side not to lose the game, after beating Arsenal 1-0 at Bramall Lane earlier in the season. The Blades have only lost to Man City in their last eight at home, with none of those matches featuring more than three goals.

The Gunners have won just five of their last 19 away games, one of which was at League One Portsmouth. Despite winning at Southampton on Thursday, fatigue is likely to be an issue here.

Valencia to win or draw v Villarreal & over 1.5 goals (16:00)

Valencia have avoided defeat in four of their last seven matches, with over 1.5 goals landing in six of them.

That may seem like an unspectacular record, but Albert Celades’ side have only lost five of their last 17 league games overall and beat Villarreal 2-1 earlier in the season.

Villarreal won three consecutive matches 1-0 against inferior opposition when the La Liga season resumed, but will find life tougher against top-eight opposition.

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Levante v Real Betis (13:00)

Levante lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, but BTTS had landed in each of their previous three matches since La Liga resumed so they should return to that form this weekend.

Paco Lopez’s side have scored in eight of their last 10 home league games, a run that includes goals against both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Real Betis, meanwhile, have been involved in 22 matches in which there were goals at both ends this season, the most of any La Liga side.

Villarreal v Valencia (16:00)

Villarreal have scored in all four of their matches since play resumed in Spain, including a 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Monday night.

BTTS has landed in 21 of their 31 league games this season, including a 2-1 defeat at Valencia in November’s reverse fixture.

Valencia lost 1-0 to Eibar on Thursday, but 19 of their league games this season have seen goals at both ends.

Watford v Southampton (16:30)

Watford drew 1-1 at home to Leicester last weekend, meaning they’ve now scored in six of their last seven matches at Vicarage Road.

That run includes scoring twice against Manchester United, twice against Wolves and three times in a stunning win over Liverpool.

Southampton have scored in 17 of their last 18 away matches, and scored at least twice in six of their last eight, so they should also do their part here.

ANYTIME GOALSCORER

Duvan Zapata (Atalanta) to score v Udinese (18:30)

Atalaanta have scored seven goals in two matches since the season resumed, taking their tally to 22 in five overall.

Zapata scored a brace in last week’s hammering of Sassuolo and is bound to receive more opportunities in such an in-form attacking team.

He ranks third in Serie A for shots per away game and seventh of players with 10+ appearances for overall xG per 90 minutes.
