Ipswich to beat Wigan & over 1.5 goals (12:00)

Wigan are in a mess after nine of their starting XI from the final day of last season were desperately sold to raise funds over the last few weeks.

The Latics have very few fit senior defenders available, while there is still some confusion over who will even be taking charge of the team.

Ipswich were average at home last season, but won’t need to be particularly good to win this one comfortably.

West Brom to win or draw v Leicester & under 4.5 goals (14:00)

The downward spiral at the end of last season, combined with several injuries, means that Leicester don’t look in great nick coming into this game.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were without a win in any of their last nine away games of last season, with this bet landing in all but one of those matches.

West Brom only lost three of their 23 home league games last season, so can hold the Foxes to at least a point.

Harry Kane (Tottenham) to score v Everton (16:30)

Kane ended last season in vintage form, scoring five goals in his last three games of the campaign.

Having previously struggled in August, he has scored in Spurs’ first home game of each of the last two seasons  and should have benefited for a couple of run-outs for England in the last week.

He has scored eight goals in his last eight games against Everton, too, so this looks a good bet.

Villarreal to beat Huesca & over 1.5 goals (17:30)

Villarreal won seven of their 11 matches after the La Liga restart, with over 1.5 goals landing in all of the last four.

Unai Emery’s side have done some decent transfer business, too, bringing in Francis Coquelin and Dani Parejo from Valencia.

Newly-promoted Huesca were promoted despite picking up just 70 points from 42 games and losing five of their last nine away games in the Segunda Division.

Levante to win or draw v Valencia & over 1.5 goals (20:00)

Levante lost just three of their 11 games after the La Liga restart, all but two of which featured over 1.5 goals.

They take on crisis club Valencia, who have spent the summer asset-stripping and look a shell of the side that could only finish ninth last season.

Javi Gracia’s new team ended last term with two wins from nine, and it seems unlikely that things are going to get any better.
