Will Rook provides his football tips for Wednesday's action in the Premier League, Championship and La Liga.

Derby to beat Preston (17:00)

Derby continued their 100 per cent record since the restart with a 2-1 victory over Reading on Saturday.

The Rams have won four straight league games to bring themselves within three points of the play-off positions.

Preston were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff last weekend and have taken one point from their last two, having drawn 1-1 with second-bottom Luton the previous week.

Birmingham to beat Huddersfield (18:00)

Huddersfield dropped into the relegation zone after a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Danny Cowley’s side have lost each of their last three matches and have taken seven points from their last available 21.

Birmingham battled back from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Hull last weekend and can go one better on Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest to beat Bristol City (19:00)

Bristol City were beaten 2-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend and are second-bottom of the Championship form table.

Lee Johnson’s side have taken just two points in their last six matches – the second-fewest in the division – and are winless in seven.

Nottingham Forest ended a four-game winless run with a 3-1 victory over strugglers Huddersfield on Sunday, and should beat another out-of-form side here.

BTTS: No in Everton v Leicester (18:00)

Leicester and Everton have scored a combined total of two goals in their five collective games since the restart.

The Foxes followed a dour goalless draw with Brighton last Tuesday with a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday, managing just five shots on target across both games.

Everton went on to beat bottom-of-the-league Norwich 1-0 a week ago after their own 0-0 draw against Liverpool last Sunday.

BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Betis v Villarreal (21:00)

Betis have been involved in the highest proportion of BTTS matches in La Liga this season, with both teams scoring in 23 of their 32 games.

That total includes four of their last five home games, all of which had three or more goals.

Villarreal have been involved in 21 BTTS matches so far – the second-most in the division – so this looks a nice price.
