We've compiled our writers’ best football tips, including win/draw/win and BTTS, into one bite-size betting preview for Wednesday's matches.
Adam Drury provides his football tips for Wednesday's action in the Premier League and Serie A.
Manchester City (-2) to beat Newcastle (18:00)
Manchester City were very unlucky not to score a few goals against Southampton on Sunday, let alone one, after they racked up 3.40 in xG and were denied by a series of heroic blocks and saves.
Considering that they have won their three matches at the Etihad 3-0, 5-0 and 4-0 since the restart, they are a good bet to emphatically put it right here.
Newcastle have key attacker Allan Saint-Maximin injured, so are unlikely to score, and have already been beaten by more than two at Leicester, Manchester United and Arsenal this season.
Napoli to beat Genoa & under 4.5 goals (18:30)
Napoli have won three of their last four games, with all of them featuring under 4.5 goals.
Prior to a defeat at Atalanta last week, they had won five consecutive away matches.
Genoa are without a win in four, losing 3-1 to Juventus a week ago.
Under 2.5 goals in Brighton v Liverpool (20:15)
Liverpool looked well short of their best against Aston Villa on Sunday, eventually winning 2-0.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have failed to score in any of their last five away games, including in a 0-0 draw at Everton in their first match of the restart.
Brighton have conceded more than once in just one of their last eight games.
Atalanta (-1) to beat Sampdoria (20:45)
Atalanta have won their last five home games, scoring at least twice in all of them.
They have only failed to win by more than one against top-five Serie A teams on that run, beating Valencia and Sassuolo 4-1.
Sampdoria have lost 2-0 at Napoli and 5-1 at Lazio so far this season.
Over 3.5 goals in Bologna v Sassuolo (20:45)
Sassuolo’s last four matches have finished 3-3, 3-3, 1-3 and 4-2.
Over 3.5 goals has landed in all of their last four away games, too, including a 4-1 defeat at Atalanta and a 3-3 draw at Inter.
Bologna scored twice in Sunday’s outstanding win at Inter, while the reverse fixture between these sides in November finished 3-1 to Sassuolo.
