Here are four football tips that Jack Green thinks you should consider for the semi-final between Manchester United and Manchester City on Wednesday night. 

Draw

These sides have both found form in recent weeks and it’s very difficult to split them within the 90 minutes.

United beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Friday night to go level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League, and they’ve now won five of their last six matches since drawing 0-0 with Man City last month.

City have won four on the bounce, the most recent of which was a hugely impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday, and they haven’t lost any of their last 11 games in all competitions.

Under 2.5 goals

The bet has landed in four of the last six Manchester derbies, and this one should again be cagey.

United have conceded three goals across their last four matches, while City haven’t conceded more than once in any of their last 11 games.

Over 3.5 cards

Manchester derbies are usually feisty, with this bet having landed in five of the last six meetings between these sides.

United had three players booked against Aston Villa on Friday night, while there were five cards shown in Man City’s win over Chelsea.

Under 9.5 corners

These sides both rank in the bottom half for total corners per game in the Premier League, and City have conceded just 3.5 per match.

There have been under nine corners in three of the last four Manchester derbies, and this one should see another low count if it’s as cagey as expected.
