Here are four football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for the first semi-final between Tottenham and Brentford on Tuesday night.

Tottenham to win 19/40

Spurs returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Leeds on Saturday, and should have enough to beat Brentford in this semi-final.

The Bees have won their last four matches and have beaten four Premier League sides on their march to the semis, but this Spurs side pose a different level of threat to any team they have faced.

Both teams to score 3/4

Brentford’s exciting attack should find the net here, though.

They have netted in 23 of their 27 matches in all competitions this season, while Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in their last six.

Harry Kane to score 4/6

Kane started in the quarter-final against Stoke so is unlikely to be rested by Jose Mourinho as he seeks a first final as Spurs boss.

He has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season, including Spurs’ third against the Potters.

Vitaly Janelt to be carded

Janelt has been booked five times this season – twice more than any other Bees player.

The midfielder will have his work cut out to contain Kane and Spurs on Tuesday, so looks to be a prime candidate for the book once again.
