Here are Jack Green's football tips for Ajax v Tottenham on Wednesday night.

Under 3.5 goals

Tottenham’s last five games have all finished 1-0 to either side, including their defeat in the first leg of this tie last week.

Given that Ajax have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches – and have little incentive to be too attacking given their slim lead – it’s unlikely there will be many goals on Wednesday night.

Hakim Ziyech to score

Ajax have scored 25 goals in their last seven home matches, so it’s worth backing one of their attacking players to find the net against a Spurs defence that have kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches.

Ziyech looks the best bet. He’s scored 18 goals in all competitions this season, and has taken the most shots of any player in the Champions League.

Nicolas Tagliafico to be carded

Tagliafico was booked against Spurs last week, meaning he’s now been booked six times in the Champions League this season – three more than any other player.

The Argentine defender has also committed the most fouls of any player in the competition.

Under 9.5 corners 

There have been seven corners or fewer in five of Tottenham’s last six Champions League matches, including the first leg of this tie.

Ajax have conceded a total of just six corners across their last three home matches.
