Chelsea v Roma –

Only Arsenal and Manchester City have stopped Chelsea scoring this season, and they should find the net again on Wednesday with Alvaro Morata likely to start up front.

Having conceded twice against Palace, however, it’s hard to imagine the Blues keeping out Roma, who have notched nine in four away games this season.

Significantly for this bet, the Italian side haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 22 Champions League away games – a run that dates back to 2007.

Benfica v Manchester United –

Jose Mourinho was content with a 0-0 draw awat at Liverpool at the weekend, but that won’t be the case in Lisbon on Wednesday night.

Manchester United had scored 11 goals in four away matches prior to their trip to Anfield, and will fancy more goals against a Benfica side that let in five against Basel in their last Champions League game.

The Portuguese champions have scored 14 in six home games so far this season, so a clean sheet for either side looks unlikely.

Bayern v Celtic –

Despite a poor start to the season under the now-departed Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern have scored plenty of goals, particularly at home.

The Bundesliga champions have netted 18 in five at the Allianz Arena, and put five past Freiburg last weekend.

Bayern have also conceded seven in four in all competitions, and could well struggle to keep out Celtic, who are in great form away from home.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have scored in every away game this season, including 16 in their last five.

Juventus v Sporting –

Juventus have scored 14 goals in six home games this season, bagging three against Cagliari and Chievo and four against Torino.

The Bianconeri are still a good defensive side, but aren’t quite as solid at the back as last season.

They let in three against Barcelona last month, and were beaten 2-1 at home by Lazio last time out.

Sporting are excellent going forward, and have actually scored more goals away from home than at their own ground this season.

The Portuguese side have bagged 23 in seven on their travels, and kept just two clean sheets.
