It’s unlikely that Manchester City will suffer a third successive home defeat, given that they have won 13 of their previous 15 at the Etihad.

The hosts have won four of their five home games against top-six sides this season and hammered Liverpool 5-0 back in September.

Manchester City to score over 3.5 goals –

City have scored four or more goals in four of their last 11 matches at home and stuck five past their visitors earlier this season.

With the added motivation of starting the match three goals down, they will attack from the off and should close the gap.

Liverpool to score over 0.5 goals –

Liverpool are one of just two sides to have scored three against Manchester City this season, and they have done so twice.

With the hosts needing to take risks, the Reds will have opportunities to nick an away goal.

Fernandinho to be carded –

The Brazilian picked up his 12th booking of the season as frustration grew late on in the Manchester derby last Saturday.

It would be no surprise to see the same thing happen again if things don’t go to plan for City.
